During this earth science-based program, attendees will embark on a short, gentle hike with a Museum Educator through the Bartow-Pell woods and learn about the plants and animals that call Pelham Bay Park home. You will be able to observe flora and fauna in their natural habitat, as well as learn about the influence that humans have had on the land over time. The spring season is the best time of year to explore the forest and coastline as seals can be seen sunbathing and migratory birds and wildlife are more visible during this time of year.

Please dress appropriately for a nature walk: i.e., closed shoes or boots, rain gear, long sleeves, and long pants, hats, gloves, etc.

CDC-recommended face coverings are required for all visitors and staff at all times.

Visitors and staff must keep at least 6 feet from others on outdoor walking tours.
