Jennifer Carlquist

Boscobel House and Gardens is one of America’s most beautiful places, with 112-acres of gardens and grounds overlooking the Hudson River, a restored Neoclassical mansion, and an important collection of decorative arts. Originally built 1804-08 and restored to exceed its original grandeur in the 1960s-70s, Boscobel now stands as an icon of Hudson River Valley beauty and the cultural significance of landscape. Executive Director and design historian Jennifer Carlquist will provide an overview of Boscobel, and its role in continuing the ongoing, dynamic dialogue between Hudson Valley design, history, and nature.
