Elevate the ecological value of your landscape with native plants that provide seasonal interest, attract pollinators, and require less overall maintenance. Learn some basic eco-gardening techniques and leave with a list of perennials, shrubs, and trees that are adapted to our region. A tour of the native plants in Bartow-Pell’s gardens is included.

Duncan Himmelman, PhD (Ornamental Horticulture) has taught at the college level for over 40 years and delivers adult-focused gardening classes at New York Botanical Garden and Mt. Cuba Center in Delaware.
