July 20 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join museum educator and NASA Solar System Ambassador Robin Vernuccio for an exciting children’s workshop honoring the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Participants will become lunar historians exploring how the moon was thought of through the ages. To set the atmosphere, the children will create their own Apollo t-shirts, study the lunar landscape and become familiar with moon rocks. Finally, the young rocket scientists will create simple rockets to attempt a landing on the moon!
