Red Monkey Theater Group and Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum present a series of themed guided tours and original short plays that explore topics that are as urgent today as they were in the 19th century when the Bartow-Pell Mansion was built.
Join us for a music salon in the double parlors featuring repertoire from the Classical period played on restored period instruments by harpist Mia Theodoratus. Mia’s instruments include an Edward Light Dital harp which is a hybrid between the lute and the harp. It is a small instrument for popular songs of the 19th century and an Erard Ram’s Head single action harp from the golden age of harp-making which traditionally was used to perform art music pieces including sonatas and concertos.
