Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum Job Openings

Part-time Volunteer Manager of Children's Garden at Historic Bartow-Pell: Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum is launching a pilot children's gardening program in the spring of 2012 and is seeking a part-time volunteer with horticultural and education experience to manage it. This unpaid position offers a unique opportunity for individuals with interest in horticulture, education, environmental sustainability and/or non-profit organizations. Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum Internships

Whether for academic credit or personal satisfaction, interning at Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum is a rewarding experience. Internships are volunteer positions.

Marketing/Public Relations: Help maintain marketing materials, develop flyers, and communicate with the press about upcoming events.

Curatorial: Support the work of the Curator with research, documentation and care of museum's collection. Work with Executive Director and Education Manager to develop new exhibitions.

Education: Help develop and deliver programs and materials that serve teachers, students, museum guides and other audiences; participate in docent training.

Gardens & Grounds: Help maintain a 9-acre historic property.

There are also several opportunities to assist with special projects, research or volunteer management.
